What is happening in Thailand right now

With this blog, I'd like to share with you the current situation in Thailand. Nothing new, really, as I've lived here in Hua Hin for over 10 years and have had deep roots in Thailand since the 1990s.

At the end of June, the Minister of Health signed a new cannabis law that only permitted use for medical purposes. Currently, we've been informed that new guidelines will be available in two to three months. In the end, as always, everything will stay the same. One thing you need to know: when the news says something is going to change, it's far from the truth. The best medicine is to wait and see; it's not worth getting worked up.

It's unbelievable how something a government builds is first destroyed by the next administration, and then the wheel is reinvented. Or the story with the casino. This project was only driven forward by two groups, but they fell out, and so the entire project died.
